Ideal for the chemically sensitive or those with small children, the Bissell Steam Mop deep-cleans hard-surface floors using the power of pure water alone. No harsh (or expensive) cleaners means no fumes or residues to irritate lungs or muddy delicate finishes, while the use of hot steam rather than buckets of water leaves floors dry in just seconds. Heated and ready to use in 30 seconds, the remarkably quiet mechanism works something like an iron: steam is dispensed on demand, rather than continuously, by pressing the trigger while passing the mop over the floor. Hot steam easily removes hardened and sticky gunk, especially if the mop sits over the mess for a few seconds. (Leave it in place 15 seconds to actually sanitize the cleaning surface.) The machine steams for approximately 15 minutes before the tank needs to be refilled, but there's no lag once you refill it. The Steam Mop's low-profile 360-degree swiveling head accesses hard-to-reach nooks and crannies, like under kitchen cabinets, while its compact profile stores easily in small spaces. Summary: It's really good product. 2008-09-07
Comment: I did a lot of research before I selected the Bissell. This product seem to get the most positive reviews. And it has lived up to those reviews. The microfiber pads are fairly easy to get on and off. The steamer itself I feel does a fine job cleaning the floor. It does not streak or leave the floor excessively wet. And I really like the idea of not using any chemicals just water to do the job especially since I have pets who have skin allergies. The steamer heats up quickly and the cord is adequate for my floors. I must mention the steamer does not pick up debris you must vacuum or swiffer the floor before using the steamer. I brought multiple pads because I steam the whole time and the pads do get very wet so it takes 2 or 3 to do my kitchen and dining room floor. Overall I really like this product and I feel does a great job for me. Definitely would buy again if this breaks in the future.

Comment: I don't know how I managed before this great gadget came along! It does a great job on my textured tile floors. I use mine a couple times a week!
What I love:

Comment: I have used a number of steam mops and I love my Bissell Steam Mop!!! I can't say it enough. It is light, easy to handle, and produces just the right amount of steam. Heats uo fast. The cloth pads are very easy to off , wash, and put back on. This is the best steam mop ever! Also love the color!!!!

Comment: This is my second Bissell steam mop. The first one lasted about five years and gave out from constant use. That's great for a product this day and age. I rely on my Bissell steam mop to not only clean but disinfect my tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom without chemical use.
