Summary: Average Vacuum 2008-03-15
Comment: When I was looking for a replacement for my great old Hoover I had for years, the Bissell Healthy Home was rated very high. Since I have a multiple pet household I was torn between the Bissell and the Dyson. I could not see paying that much for a Dyson so I bought the Bissell. It was great for the first couple of months, after that, it is no better or worse than any other vacuum.
My one major complaint about this vacuum is it does not have a well balanced design and falls over backwards if I stretch the hose out any distance. I am not talking about stretched to the max, but just past the normal length.
Overall it is about average and I will not buy a Bissell in the future.

Summary: Fabulous Vacuum, Great Price! 2008-02-05
Comment: My husband and I have had this vacuum for about 2 weeks now and I am absolutely pleased with it. I actually find that I WANT to vacuum with the Bissel Healthy Home because after buying 3 vacuums in the past year ranging in price from $40 to $100, this one, for the price of those three combines does an outstanding job. It gets ALL of the pet hair (we have two pomeranians) without clogging and I feel good about letting our baby play on the carpet now! It isn't my "job" to empty the compartment, but my husband says that it is easy to do. And the container is large too! I vacuum the living room/dining room area every day and the two bedrooms every other day or every three days and we have only had to empty it once, yesterday. I have used horrible vacuums, and the "top of the line" vacuums (living at home with my dad a few years ago he had a Dyson) and I think the Healthy Home is a cut above the rest. I think it is just as good as the Dyson for 1/2 the price! I would defiately recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Summary: Bissell Healthy Home Vacuum - 5770 2007-04-23
Comment: If you have pets... this is the vacuum for you. I researched vacuums before I purchased the Bissell Healthy Home Vacuum - 5770. The hepa filter was a draw for me but I was really interested in the long hose (although is hard to stretch) and the brush attachment, which my husband says "those never work". What does he know? That attachment took all the cat hair off my sofa and pillows, huge bonus for me! The real test was my BLACK area rug where everything shows and it performed awesomely with only a pass or two, back to new. I did not rate it a 5 only because, like everyone is saying, it's heavy and not meant for everyone. I wouldn't recommend it to my Mom or my Grandma; they would really have a hard time pushing it around, I consider it a work out. The on and off switch does not bother me but I would have thought I blew a fuse if I didn't know about it being easy to turn off in advance. This vacuum is pretty quit, as far as vacuums go anyway. It glides smooth on floor surfaces and it doesn't hurt your trim if you bump up against it. I was really excited to get my new vacuum cleaner home and it was worth every penny. My carpet looks fresher just after vacuuming. To empty the container was a snap to remove and put back but just like any bagless vacuums it's always going to be a bit of a mess. Over all, its power will raise the nap on your carpet, pull the cat hair off your sofa and suck the dust off your floors... just like a good sweeper should. You won't be disappointed. Just hope it lasts.

One of the main reasons was because it recieved high marks and positive reviews from several different websites. I am so glad that I did. I am very satisfied with this vacuum. It has met as well as exceeded all my expectations.

Summary: WORTH THE PRICE! 2007-02-14
Comment: i wasn't too excited about spending $300 on a vacuum, but i had to see if the hype was valid. so i bought this vacuum with every intention of returning it when i proved it wasn't any diffrent from my old dirt devil. well, that did not happen. after getting home and assembling this product (very easy) i brought out my old vacuum (had it about 2 yrs)emptied the dirt cup, took the filter off and banged as much dust out of it as i could (creating quite a mess in the process)and vacuumed my house as i normally would. then i broke out the healthy home. still skeptical, i started to re vacuum my house. i have 2 dogs, and i don't think i've ever gotten all the hair up ever. with this vacuum i had to empty the dirt cup twice while vacuuming (which is also unbelievably easy, and no mess at all). i was disgusted at how much dirt was left in my carpet after using my old vacuum. after i finished with the bissell, i got down on the floor to see how much dog hair was still embedded in the carpet. i couldn't find any. so i did the only logical thing i could think of... i threw the dirt devil away and put the bissell in the closet. did i mention how quiet this machine is? it's quiet. i love this vacuum.
