Amazon.com Review
A helpful addition to Black & Decker's line of cordless handheld vacuums, this little DustBuster can pick up wet as well as dry messes. With 7.2 volts of power, the vacuum sucks wet or dry spills into a transparent storage hatch, which empties easily for regular maintenance and can be cleaned after wet pickups. An internal filter helps trap smaller particles and can be washed for reuse and improved performance. In action, the vacuum is trim and manageable and even includes on-board storage for a squeegee and a crevice tool. To re-juice, it stores on a charging bracket that mounts to the wall or rests on the floor. Measuring approximately 15-1/2 inches long, the little machine runs up to 10 minutes on a full charge. Black & Decker includes a two-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

Summary: Was great until it died 2007-09-02
Comment: I bought this little vac 2 years ago and it was great until about 1 month ago (almost exactly 2 weeks after the warranty lapsed!!) it stopped holding a charge. Of course it doesn't make sense for me to get it repaired at this point because I can get a new one for about $20. However I think it's a sad state of affairs that any small appliance I buy these days seems to last about 2 years and then is worthless. Now I have to throw this one away but I can't just put it in the garbage because it contains a toxic rechargeable battery. One more poorly-made small appliance that will be entering the waste stream. I remember when you bought an appliance and it lasted 5 or 10 years. Not any more.

Summary: the price is unbeatable 2007-05-18
Comment: at such a low price, this vac has amazing suction. it DOES work for both wet & dry. the battery charge has always lasted as long as i've needed to use it. it comes with all the attatchments you'll ever need for it. this vac is nowhere near top of the line, but keep in mind that you won't be spending even a fraction of that. this vac lasted me three years & it finally quit on me. i was planning on buying the same one, but amazon doesn't have it in stock.

Summary: Does not suck. Literally. 2005-09-21
Comment: But does suck in the colloquial sense.
This thing is useless for picking up liquids, which was the primary reason I got it. The little rubber squeegee tip you are supposed to use doesn't really seem to help.
If you only intend to use it on dry stuff, I guess it'd be okay.
I returned it the next day.

To the person of lower intelligence who says this product contains lead and black and decker shouldn't cut corners, ITS A LEAD ACID BATTERY, zillions of things use them because they are rechargeable and they perfectly safe if you don't crack them open. Everying you can actually touch in normal operation is plastic.

Summary: Decent suction, lousy design, spits out debris 2005-05-06
Comment: This is a good vacuum as far as the suction goes, but the design is so flawed, it makes it useless. The food particles get sucked in, and shot right out the side. What's the point of this vacuum if it is just going to suck in the dirt, and then shoot it out the side. Terrible. There is no screen or anything to stop smaller pieces from being pulled in and shot right back out. I'm returning mine today, in hopes of a better designed cordless. Don't buy this.
