Summary: Ineffective 2008-05-19
Comment: I wish I would've read these reviews before I purchased this piece of junk 6 months ago (not through this site). As others have stated, it does not effectively clean my relatively new floors, the "scrubber" is useless, and I have been unable to find replacement pads -- I've been using a generic brand. Does anyone have a good power mop to recommend?

Summary: Should be called "No Power" Mop 2007-12-30
Comment: This seemed like a wonderful idea. I have COPD and have trouble with cleaning chemicals. With this product, I would be able to use vinegar and water!!!! I got my first one January 2007. Got to use it twice, the spray spritzer quit working. Took it back, the company gave me another. Same thing, two uses. Took it back, got another. Three uses this time. Let's see, $60 for a three-time use product!!!!! And no where to find the cleaning pads! Seems useless to me.

Summary: BLACK & DECKER POWER MOP 2007-05-06
Comment: I just recently purchased the Power Mop. As of this far, I am pleased with its performance. I had no problem putting the equipment together. However, the manufacturered pads don't seem to stay on very well. I found the swiffter pads to slide off the pad system. I used the Clorox Wet Pre-Moistened Floor Wipes. They work well. I secure them in tightly by pushing them through the slots with a screwdriver. However, I have noticed that sometimes it leaves the dirt on the floor. I handled this issue by going over the floor with a dry/dust pad. I am disappointed that replaceable scrub brushes are unavailable.

Summary: Good with limitations 2007-03-25
Comment: I purchased this product to replace my old Hoover Floormate. The usual mops like the Clorox and Swifter did not scrub. What I liked was the power scrubber. The Floormate scrubbed but is expensive, big, isn't cordless, and is disgusting to clean. I am extremely pleased with the power mop. Like most of the reviews I am displeased with the pad situation. The microfiber on for the orange glo mop works okay. The swifter pad will work with a little effort. It does not stay that well but even without the velcro it stays put better than the Clorox pads. Must of the complains have also included clogging. I have used pine sol in my Floormate (the instructions clearly say not to) and it clogged, other cleaner did not clog it. The cleaner says to use water like cleaners and pinesol is oily. I suggest not putting oily cleaners in the power mop. I know that it is not perfect but it is a great product. I have used the floormate and the swifter mop and this is better than both.

Comment: I got the Black & Decker Power Mop as a gift, or it would had gone right back. The mop heads won't stay on, it doesn't squirt the cleaner out very well (and, sometimes, not at all), and it's big, bulky and awkward.
