Summary: Poor battery charger technology; uncertain customer service 2008-06-13
Comment: I received this Black and Decker vacuum as a holiday gift. At first, I thought this was a good successor to a history of cheap, ineffective hand vacs. However, after two charges, the Black and Decker battery charger ceased working. While this product is still under warranty, I am now going through a painful back and forth about replacement of the charger that involves Black and Decker and DeWalt. I've searched for another charger to purchase, but I can only buy it in a package with other Black and Decker power tools. Why would I buy power tools that I can't power because of unreliable battery charging? I don't intend to buy more of this.
