Ideal for both bare floors and low-pile carpets, this upright bagless vacuum has low noise output and 1,450 watts and 12 amps of power. The Cyclone Jet's two motors operate two different functions: one runs the vacuum cleaner and the other runs the 13-inch brush rolls, which are useful for the dirtiest cleaning jobs. The brush rolls are gear-driven on lifetime belts that will never need replacing. Other cleaning features of the Cyclone Jet include a detachable wand and a 9-foot hose that stretches to get into corners and hard-to-reach spots. Four additional accessories--a dusting brush, a crevice tool, and a 360-degree tool for cleaning stairs and upholstery--are stored onboard the vacuum. The Cyclone Jet's HEPA filter ensures the most hygienic disposal of dirt and debris into the vacuum's 2-quart dust container. A level mark shows when the container is ready to be emptied and the process is simple. The Cyclone Jet's 24-1/2-foot cord provides a lot of length before having to plug it into a new outlet and the machine's spring-loaded, automatic cord winder rewinds the cord at the touch of a button. Summary: bosch cyclone jet buc11700uc 2007-12-01
Comment: We had just moved and needed a vacuum, the Bosch upright cyclone jet: wasn't a disposable, had the hepa filter, no belts to mess with and the brushes could be turned off for vacuuming solid surface floors. We like it a lot especially when sucking dog hair out of the couch with the built in extension hose, because once again, you can turn the beater brush off, and not burn a hole in the carpet. I haven't needed to bring the shop vac in the house, since owning this upright. Only down side has been that the little headlight burned out within a week of purchasing. No biggy but then 6 months later when I got around to actually removing and replacing it I discovered that the bulb and possibly the wire to it had burned. No more covert night time vacuuming for me. The Hepa filters are getting a little hard to come by. It is 3 years old and still our only indoor vacuum.

Comment: I have an alaskan malamute that sheds 24/7 and is an indoor dog this vacuum is 3 + years old and still going strong we use it every day ( I am not kidding ) No other vacuum has lasted over a year with the same use. I have used Hoover and Eureka and spent twice the price.

I couldn't bear to use my not so old vacuum because of the odor, I finely found one that works,Now that Tilly has joined the family she has more hair to loose than Ralph,this vacuum works great, NO odors, had a commercial vacuum before,this one wins hands down.It's a little heavy but I think that is one thing that helps with the excellent pick-up porformance.It could use another handle to carry around.I have used my husbands air compressor to clean out the filter and canister and it works like new.I have had this vacuum for three years and not going to replace it anytime soon.So the vacuum and Tilly will live happy ever after.

Comment: I knew I liked this vacume from the moment I turned it on. It has excellent suction. I have always had common vacumes...hoover, Dirt devil etc. This is quite pricy but I would never be satisfied with any other common vacume again. The dirt cup is great it empties without having to touch it. The best feature is the carpet brush. After vacuming my carpets with the carpt brush turned on they looked brand new again. They were freshly combed and perfect. if you are like me and wind the cord in several loops then throw it over the top of the vacum handle..well forget about it. When I first saw it had an automatic cord winder I thought "how lazy"....I love having
the cord swept away out of sight with the push of a foot. Even my 2 yr old loves to do it. this is a great buy, go for it!

Summary: Best vacuum I've ever had 2006-05-12
Comment: This is a powerful machine that actually makes my house FEEL cleaner--the filtration system gives me peace of mind that I'm actually cleaning, not just moving dust around. This is a heavy vaccum, so I wouldn't recommend it if you cannot lift heavy items; I don't mind so much because it produces a decent workout, killing 2 birds with one stone ;-). My single gripe with it is that because it is so heavy, I wish there was another solid handle to use for lifting it and moving it around when necessary. The top handle alone doesn't cut it, and if you try to use the handle of the hose attachment, it takes the hose off the machine. Other than that I've been very happy with it. Bought mine slightly used on Ebay for $165.
