Hoover Flair Bagless Upright Stick Vacuum with Power Nozzle, S2220

Comment: This is a great little Stick Vacume. Powerful enough to pick up Sand plus all the little lint stuff that gets onto carpets. So easy to switch between floors and carpets. You will not be disappointed. I originally had a Swiffer electric broom, but that does NOT do the small carpet runners at the door or in the living room and when you need convenience to do both, the Flair Stick Broom does the job. Do not hesitate to get this one. I searched for a good one and glad I picked this one.

Comment: I have a small two bedroom condo with wood floors and area rugs. I tend to use the carpet setting throughout, because it has more suction than the bare floor setting. It's especially handy in the kitchen where little crumbs tend to get on the floor, but I use it for my whole place about once a week. I empty the canister after each use.

Comment: After suffering for many years with a stick vac that made noise but did little else, the Hoover Flair is a joy. It handles small jobs (entrance rugs, showers covered in sand from the beach) with ease. I really like how easy it is to switch from floor to carpet too. Yes, it does throw off a lot of heat. And yes, it would be nice to have a longer cord, but these are minor quibbles. The bottom line is that the machine does what it's supposed to and quickly.

Comment: I was impressed by the reviews but disappointed in the results.
The suction power is low, and i have wooden floors and a couple of rugs only.
I need to clean the filter AND brush everytime to even get it's limited amount
of suction to work.

Comment: After reading many positive reviews, I decided to buy this vacuum for our floors and one area rug. While it does a reasonable job of vacuuming, it fills up VERY fast and starts making this incredibly high-pitched WHEEDLING WHINE that I believe would actually damage your hearing. I called the company about this, as the whine continues even after you dump and clean the filter as best you can. They said this shouldn't happen, and actually sent me a second unit, allowing me to keep the first for parts. Great, I thought. NOT!!! The second one does exactly the same thing. Even with ear plugs in, that sound is awful and I believe dangerous. My poor dog claws to get out of the house!

Please, do yourself a favor and listen to the negative reviews about this product. They were right!
